One of the biggest trends to hit the ice cream scene are shakes, but not your average whip cream and cherry topped shakes...oh no these milkshakes take the cake...sometimes literally. Don't be surprised to find whole pieces of cake atop an artfully and deliciously created milkshake.
Milkshakes to "Freakshakes!"
Sometimes referred to as "loaded indulgences" these icy desserts are a dessert upon a dessert and would give Willy Wonka a run for his money when it comes to candy and sweet overload. These shakes are definitely "over the top" so much that they are sometimes called "Freakshakes" essentially milkshakes on steroids.

No sweet or candy is too much when it comes to these over-the-top ice cream shakes. "Freakshakes," whether its cereal, donuts, or candy you can find it all. Some ice cream confectioners have created their whole business around these over the top, icy desserts!
These over-the-top shakes or "Freakshakes" are definitely impressive and definitely "instagramable," but one could argue, it detracts from the milkshake itself with all the added delicious distractions. Possibly, but I think the "Freakshakes" or "loaded indulgences" are an ice cream entity all its own. It is definitely more about the Ice Cream/Milkshake Experience and all that comes with enjoying this incredible dessert, whether its with friends, family, or even just a fun treat for yourself!

TikTok itself is one of the trendiest online platforms out there with 60 seconds or less videos of pure entertainment, but even better than that are the ice cream making videos that have taken TikTok by storm.

However, there are so many new and unique creators who are uploading some amazingly delicious videos daily that you'll never run out of ice cream creation videos to satisfy that unique ice cream craving.

When it comes to this ice cream trend...the darker the better. Black ice cream has become all the range especially because this color is so unique to the icy dessert of ice cream that we so love.
However, there are only a few ways to achieve this uniquely aesthetic ice cream color. One especially interesting ingredient is squid ink as well as activated charcoal. Another, but perhaps the more commonly used ingredient now is black cocoa powder!
